My award winning tapestries and weavings feature bold curves, elusive text, touches of nature and multiple layers of meaning. Recently my work has evolved into combining creative writing with fiber. I now weave with both words and weft; combining fiber with my creative musings, whether it is a poem, a children’s story, a mystery novel or simply a pithy phrase.I have found writing and weaving are slow mediums; but when done together - the magic of synergy stops time.

I am still inspired by the unique shapes in nature and enjoy portraying them in unexpected ways. Circles and beetles are recurring themes in my work, as seen in my Celestial series and the more earth bound series Beetles from Thailand. With a smile and a chuckle I look forward each year to adding one tapestry to my Butt Series, a favorite of audiences everywhere.
