Mystery Story Told in Undulating Twills
My Mystery Story Told in Twill
Writing with words and weft
2009

On the way to the Santa Monica Farmers Market our hero, a Westside divorce attorney, discovers a dead body. Yes, it is murder. The characters in this classic mystery are represented by the colors of the different bamboo yarns. Our hero is the lemongrass; our villains are in eggplant and red purple. The various twill patterns represent the activities and emotions of the characters. The repurposed correction tape used by a court reporter separates the chapters and represents the words not used in the story - those that were lost in the editing.
